The Overthere
The Overthere is the long sweep of plains rising to Kunark’s northern shore, cut by ancient chasms full of scorpikis and home to the evil races’ beachhead on the continent.
Plains and chasms
A classic zone atlas describes vast plains that gradually climb to the northern shore of Kunark. Ravines and chasms that have been there for centuries are infested with the Scorpikis, ancient guardians of hidden temples. A player guide says the scorpikis gather in and around the huge chasm leading to Charasis, the Howling Stones, which stands in the middle of it. A community wiki says Venril Sathir built Charasis as a private retreat to study necromancy.

The evil races’ outpost
The evil races of Norrath have claimed the shore and set up their beachhead here. A player guide says the outpost in the northwest is held by dark elves who have sided with Venril Sathir, and at night their dragoons patrol the paths. A classic zone atlas warns that Iksar and good races are attacked on sight there by huge cliff golems and undead, though some neutral members of good races can trade with care. To catch the boat, swim out from the eastern edge of the outpost.

Hunting
The Atlas calls the Overthere probably the best hunting ground on the continent for druids of every level. Its wide open spaces are almost unique on Kunark, which is usually crowded with poor sight lines, and its creatures are spread thinly enough to pull and kite freely. Monsters weaker than you mostly leave you alone, but they grow more aggressive further south, and the Sarnak always attack. The night patrols of dragoons and the scorpikis that cover the chasm floor are the two real dangers.
Creatures named include rhinos, sabretooth cats, cockatrices, succulent cactuses and clay golems, with Admiral Tylix, Captain Rottgrime and General D’Veers among the notable figures.

Roads onward
A classic zone atlas lists five neighbours: the Frontier Mountains, the Howling Stones, the Skyfire Mountains, the Timorous Deep by boat and Warsliks Woods.
The Atlas adds landmarks for each road. The broken barge to the Timorous Deep lands at the evil races’ large outpost. A short pass leads to the Frontier Mountains, with a large platform just north of it. The pass to Warsliks Woods is high in the hills, marked by a big Iksar statue on the plains straight out from it. The way to the Skyfire Mountains runs through a large temple-like structure, and Howling Stones is reached from the scorpiki-filled chasm, behind a glowing red sphere that is locked.
