Privacy Policy

Last updated October 22, 2026. Norrath 1999 is an independent fan site operated by Johnston Ventures LLC (“we”). This policy explains what happens to information when you visit.

What we collect

We do not run accounts, comments or sign-ups, and we do not ask for personal information. If you email us, we receive your address and message and use them only to reply. Our host, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to deliver and secure the site; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Cookies and advertising

We may show advertising to help cover the cost of running the site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Where ads are shown, these vendors may set and read cookies, web beacons and similar technologies and may collect device identifiers and IP addresses. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Your choices

• Opt out of personalized advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings.
• Opt out of personalized advertising from many third-party vendors at aboutads.info (and youronlinechoices.eu in Europe).
• You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them.

Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland (GDPR)

Where ads are shown to visitors in these regions, we use a Google-certified consent management platform so that you can give, refuse or withdraw consent for cookies and personalized ads. Our legal bases are your consent (advertising cookies) and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site (server logs). You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to complain to your local data-protection authority.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out using the links above or by sending a Global Privacy Control signal, and you may request access to or deletion of your information by emailing us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
