A two-level reef

the Plane of Water is a great coral reef of two levels. The upper part is a sprawl of bright coral teeming with sea life: tropical fish, sponges and anemones.

Deep within the reef live societies of intelligent water-dwelling beings, along with the servants of the Avatar of Water.

Coirnav and the Triumvirate

Coirnav is a pure creature called into being by the Triumvirate of Water, with help from other powers of the planes. He represents the three greater gods of water. It is said that he lies dormant in his domain, waiting for the day he is called on to embody all three of the Triumvirate.

the zone suits levels 65 to 75 and notes that live servers need level 60 to enter without a flag.

The last elemental flag

The four elemental planes, Fire, Air, Earth and Water, can be done in any order: there is no fixed sequence among them. Entry to the Plane of Time needs all four essences, combined into the Quintessence of Elements, along with the other Planes of Power flags.

In practice many guilds finished the Reef of Coirnav last, because the underwater Coirnav encounter was the hardest of the four. That was a common habit, not a rule.

There is also an alternate flag, the Sphere of Coalesced Water, that gives zone-in access to the Plane of Water alone.

The Sphere of Coalesced Water

Defeating Coirnav gives the Sphere of Coalesced Water, the water shield in the Quintessence of Elements. Player guides list it with the Globe of Dancing Flame, the Mound of Living Stone and the Amorphous Cloud of Air as the four shields combined in an Odylic Vial on the way to the Plane of Time.

Player guides join the reef to the Plane of Tranquility. Our map draws it as its own island at the south-west of the ring.
