The Plane of Time

The Plane of Time is the realm of the gods and the end of Planes of Power progression, open only to those who have gathered the four elemental essences into the Quintessence of Elements and passed through the time machine in Innovation.

The realm of the gods

The Plane of Time is simply the realm of the gods. The first part of the zone, Plane of Time A, is described as largely decorative and calm, full of creatures seen past and present. Raids pass through it to the trials of Water, Earth, Fire, Air and Undead, and then on to the gods themselves.

The second part, Plane of Time B, is the raid instance. Its proper name in quest data is the Prison of the Forsaken, and its event list runs through three phases and then Terris Thule, Saryrn, Tallon Zek, Vallon Zek, Cazic Thule, Bertoxxulous, Rallos Zek, Innoruuk and finally Quarm. It is linked to the lore of Zebuxoruk the Forsaken.

The Quintessence of Elements

To reach Time you need the four shields of the elemental planes. A community wiki lists them: the Sphere of Coalesced Water from Coirnav, the Globe of Dancing Flame from Fennin Ro, the Mound of Living Stone from the Rathe, and the Amorphous Cloud of Air from Xegony. The Mound comes from the Avatar of Earth.

The four are combined in an Odylic Vial, a four-slot container that a book found on a slave in the Plane of Tactics explains how to make. The result is the Quintessence of Elements. The Quintessence grants full access to the Plane of Time.

Two ways in

The progression guides describe the classic route through the Plane of Innovation. They send you to hail Maelin in the Plane of Knowledge, then to the Innovation factory, where Chronographer Muon takes you to the time machine. Say “researched” to Maelin and click the machine to enter Time.

The map draws two links into Time: a gold, dashed, flag-gated line from Innovation, and a portal line from the Tranquility stone, which the zone-line maps list. One player guide notes that the Tranquility portal works once the flag is set, so it needs the same flags.

Levels and access

Both parts of the plane suit levels 65 to 75 and are keyed, with Plane of Time B instanced. It notes that live servers need level 62 to enter without the flag, and that the zone was revamped on June 29, 2005, during the Dragons of Norrath era, after which the Plane of Time raids became fully instanced.

the Quintessence can also drop during stage 3 of the raid itself.
