Katta Castellum
Katta Castellum is the walled city of the Loyalists of Tsaph Katta, built on a strong defensive site in the twilight lands of Luclin and besieged by vampires and the Inquisition.
The Loyalists’ city
A classic zone atlas tells how the city came to be. After the attempt on Tsaph Katta’s life split the Combine Empire, his followers moved to Luclin and built Katta Castellum. A player guide calls it an ancient city in the twilight regions of the moon. It stands in a strong defensive position, built to hold off enemies known and unknown.
The story of the split is told in the Combine Empire and Katta Castellum.

Surrounded by enemies
The Atlas says the people of Katta are surrounded by enemies. The vampires of the Coterie in the Tenebrous Mountains have been infiltrating and terrorising the city for some time, and the Inquisition of Sanctus Seru is always hunting its people, though from further away.
Coterie assassins roam the dark streets and jump the unwary, and undead rise from the city’s graveyards. Levitation does not work at all in the city, so no one can float from its ledges to the lower level.

A busy city
The Atlas calls it a very busy city, where the descendants of Tsaph Katta and the Combine work daily to better their lot and defend themselves. The Loyalists have found new energy and spirit since the portal to Luclin reopened, the first contact with Norrath in a very long time.
a player guide rates the creatures about the city 30 to 60.

Two gates
The city has two ways in, a player guide says. One is a large dock on the eastern shore of the Twilight Sea; the other opens into the Tenebrous Mountains along the castle’s western edge. A player guide lists the same two neighbours.
So Katta sits between the dark-side mountains and the twilight sea, a fortress on the border of light and dark.
