The Twilight Sea
The Twilight Sea is a small, calm, island-dotted sea in the twilight lands, ringed by cliffs, with Katta Castellum on its eastern shore and the tower of the mage Vornol at its heart.
Islands and cliffs
a classic zone atlas describes a small, calm sea in the twilight regions of the moon, dotted with a great many islands, each with residents of its own, and ringed by cliffs and low mountains. A player guide suggests the sea is probably more land than water, with a hidden area in its north reached only by an underwater tunnel.
Katta Castellum sits in the east, its towering walls hard to miss, and many of its people live on a nearby island with two fishing docks and an inn, Jern’s Rest.

Vornol’s tower
In the middle of the zone, a player guide says, stands a large tower, presumably built by Vornol, one of the most powerful mages of all time. His apprentices or descendants live there still and guard it with their magic.
The Atlas lists Vornol, Elisah Astari and Aqualan Deepwater among the notable residents, with elementals of air, earth, fire and water and a set of named shadows.
Tribes and beasts
The rest of the sea belongs to the moon’s own peoples. The Atlas lists the Cral Ligi, the Grol Baku, the Tro Jeg and the Vas Ren, each with soldiers and shamans, alongside rhino beetles, underbulks, sea turtles and minnows.
The Atlas rates the zone 20 to 40, and a player guide 25 to 50.

Between the castle and the desert
The Atlas names three neighbours: Katta Castellum, the Scarlet Desert and the Fungus Grove. A player guide agrees, and places the desert past the range of cliffs and mountains in the west, the start of the dry, barren side of Luclin.
The Fungus Grove lies in a cavern beneath the sea itself, so the sea links castle, desert and the deep caves below. The Atlas gives the Katta entrance at the eastern side of the zone and the desert entrance far to the west.
