The Nexus
The Nexus is the Combine’s ancient transport hub beneath the surface of Luclin, where every traveller from Norrath arrives on the central platform and the spires come alive again.
The Combine’s gate
Player guides tell the same story. The Nexus was built ages ago by the Combine Empire so that its people could travel to Luclin and escape their enemies at home. As the moon drifted further from Norrath, the Nexus could no longer power the journey, and it fell almost out of use, a boring guard post.
Now that Luclin has come back within range of Norrath, the Nexus has come alive.

Arrivals
The Atlas places the Nexus in the caves beneath the moon’s surface. The Combine built direct portals from here to places they used to visit on Norrath, and to Shadow Haven, and it is through these that travellers now move around Luclin and to and from the home world.
Every traveller arrives at the central platform. A player guide long list of neighbours shows how far the spires reach, with links to the Great Divide on Velious, Toxxulia Forest on Odus and many others.

Tunnels
Two tunnels lead out directly, a player guide says: One to the Bazaar and one to Netherbian Lair. The lair is a network of tunnels found by accident, and its main corridors, a player guide notes, are guarded by the Hands of Seru and the defenders of Shadow Haven, so they are safe to travel.
Through the lair the road climbs to Dawnshroud Peaks and Marus Seru on the light side.

Held by Shadow Haven
The Nexus belongs to Shadow Haven, a player guide says, which claims it along with the Bazaar and provides security for both. To the Haven’s trade families it matters even more than the market, since so many people coming to or leaving Luclin must pass through.
Its guards are the Haven’s defenders, and its portal to the city is the quickest way from the platform to the Haven’s banks and guilds.
