From games to slaughter

Riwwi was once a bustling arena that hosted contests of magic and athletics. The invaders have turned it into a pit for their own entertainment. Native animals, enslaved Taelosians, golems and now and then an invader fight to the death in the middle, to the cheers of a bloodthirsty crowd.

Before its people will deal with you, you have to prove yourself in its tests.

The public quarter

Around the coliseum, the Defunct Bazaar, the commons and the performing amphitheatres are dilapidated, damaged both by looting and by the earth-shaking blast that broke the city. The invaders store food and goods in the bazaar stalls and guard them closely, because the city runs on those supplies.

The gazebo

The gazebo was a place of quiet meditation. Now captives are lashed to its marble benches facing a crystal-clear pool and kept there for days without water. Others are whipped at the pillars or hung from the ceiling. Namosa Bubundu, chained there, tells you she has had enough of this world.

The coliseum itself is heavy stone and marble, with tiers of seats over a wide arena. Being a tropical island, moss and vines wrap the lower tier, and potted and hanging plants decorate the halls. Turlini, a slave, has an escape plan and needs a full set of shackle keys.

Where it sits

The zone-line files join Riwwi to Qinimi, Barindu and Ferubi. Our map puts it north of Barindu and north-east of Qinimi, the two angles the files allow. Warlord Vokken and Officiator Keviazh run the games. The zone suits characters of about level 60 to 70.
