Dulak’s Harbor

Dulak’s Harbor is a troll pirate town built along the shore of a wide sea cavern under the edge of Broken Skull Rock, and the working heart of the Broken Skull Clan.

A town in a cave

The town lies in a vast cavern just under the island’s surface, on calm water. The marauders built it out of whatever came to hand and never stop rebuilding and adding to it. It is rough and ominous to look at, and the trolls watch every ship that comes and goes.

If the clan likes you, it is a useful stop. Taverns, crew quarters, stores, docks and shipyards fill the cavern, and it is a good place to buy and sell between trips deeper into the rock.

Rails to the refinery

Rails run through parts of the town. Follow them one way and you reach the refinery and the smiths; follow them the other and you come to the Torgiran Mines. Ore dug by slaves comes out along these tracks, is processed in the refinery and turned into ship’s fittings and crude weapons.

The zone-line files put the mine entrance on the town’s west side, and the way out to the Gulf of Gunthak to the south. Our map draws the mines as a cave icon north-west of the town.

The luggald temple

One building stands apart: a large and disturbing temple guarded by luggalds, servants of Innoruuk. Anyone who gets close is swamped by the fear and hate that seep from inside. The official advice is to keep your distance.

That malevolent undercurrent runs through the whole town. It is not just the unpleasant nature of the marauders; the place feels wrong, and the Crypt of Nadox below explains why.

Where it fits

Dulak’s Harbor is the second stop on the island after the Gulf of Gunthak, with the mines and then the Crypt of Nadox further in. Its zone records rate it for characters of about level 40 to 55. Its pack file also marks a third, unlabelled zone line: that exit belongs to a later expansion and is left off our map.

Zone record at a glance

The zone database lists Dulak’s Harbor as an outdoor zone, open to everyone, with no key or instance needed. Its listed level range is 40 to 55.

The same record names its neighbours as Gulf of Gunthak, Torgiran Mines and Dead Hills. The map on this page draws only the links the map-pack zone lines confirm.
