Yxtta, Pulpit of Exiles

A meeting place of exiles

Yxtta was once a meeting place, the Pulpit of the Exiled. A Wayfarer on the ship, De-van Szostek, watched a party arrive here and run into trouble, and an in-game book warns that someone will slink out of hiding in Yxtta one day. Caridwi, who lives here, rarely sees visitors.

Primal beasts

Muramites hold the temple. The zone records name Pixtt Flamedirge and Pixtt Suir Mindrider, and the Primal arachnids, insects and reptiles that roam it. It suits characters of about level 65 to 75. To enter without a flag you need level 60, and real access comes after the Tipt expedition out of Barindu.

Uqua below

Beneath Yxtta is Uqua, the Ocean God Chantry, where a secret ritual is under way. It is one of the most notorious zones in the game. It has gas chambers, ambushes and angry Trusik, and a debuff that covers the whole zone. You fight through the Trusik temples of Rage, Fury and Destruction to a chaotic last fight with Vrex Barxt Qurat.

Where it sits

The zone-line files join Yxtta to Kod’Taz and Qvic, and mark the way down to Uqua. On our map Yxtta sits in the north-east, east of Kod’Taz and below the eastern end of Qvic, with Uqua off the eastern shore, as the in-game map places them.
