The Plane of Disease
The Plane of Disease is the festering realm of Bertoxxulous the Plaguebringer: a land of rotting flesh, boil-hills and rivers of waste, with the Crypt of Decay waiting beneath it. Bertoxxulous, the Plaguebringer, rules the plane from deep within the Crypt of Decay.
A land of rot
the plane festers like a pustule among the planar spheres. The ground is spongy, rotting flesh covered in boils and blisters that rise like hills, and infected open wounds form its canyons. Thick black hairs grow like trees from the decaying ground.
A river of bodily waste and fluid creeps slowly across the land, frothing and scabbing along its banks. The air is a stagnant mix of poisonous vapours that rains bile down on the realm.

Its creatures
A host of creatures live here. Spiders, rats and larvae crawl across the surface or below it in caves, and flymen and Malarians prowl the bubbling swamps. The plane’s most important resident is the god of disease himself, Bertoxxulous the Plaguebringer.
The zone suits levels 46 to 60, and live servers need level 46 to enter without a key.

Grummus and the drain
The Saryrn arc runs through here. The arc runs through Adler’s Request, or a bypass, then Grummus, then Bertoxxulous, and Gryme’s Crypt Key opens Grummus’s room. The Crypt of Decay is entered by killing Grummus here.
A fan progression guide of the time adds the steps: hail the planar projection after Grummus falls, then enter the Crypt through the drain in the room behind him. Our map shows the Crypt as an entrance on the Disease island.

Reaching Disease

On the map, Disease is its own island on the west of the ring, with a portal line to the hub.
