Dragon Necropolis
The Dragon Necropolis is the ancient burial ground of the dragons of Velious, hidden in the western mountains, where warring clans of rats dig among traps, bones and undead dragon constructs.
The dragons’ graveyard
A classic zone atlas calls the necropolis the old burial ground of the continent’s dragons, hidden in the mountains on the western edge of Velious. A player guide describes a dragon graveyard deep beneath the frozen tundra, with phase spiders on the surface and a few excavation crews at work. It belongs to the world of the Claws of Veeshan.
Below, two clans of rats have made the tunnels their home and fight each other and any outsider.

Traps everywhere
The Atlas says the dungeon is littered with traps: root traps, dispel traps, direct damage traps, swarming beetle traps, and dragon construct traps that call up a construct. A player guide adds giant bats that help any rat under attack, and undead dragon constructs that appear from time to time.
Faction is tangled too. One rat clan is friendly to outsiders and the other is not, and hunting either one raises your standing with its rival.

The black dragon
a player guide names the greatest danger: the black dragon Zlandicar, whose guarded lair lies toward the end of the Chetari tunnels. The Atlas lists Queen Raltaas among its notable creatures.
Hunting the rats gives very good experience, a player guide says, and they sometimes drop very fine items; high-level spells drop often. Monsters range from 45 to 60.

Getting there
The necropolis is reached through the Western Wastes, the zone it opens from. A classic zone atlas also lists Sleeper’s Tomb among its neighbours.
player guides confirm the Western Wastes link and give the same level range of about 45 to 60.
The Atlas places the entrance in the Western Wastes themselves, so every visit means first crossing the dragons’ country by way of Siren’s Grotto. A player guide on the surface adds that it is overrun by phase spiders and dotted with the camps of excavation crews digging among the bones, so the dangers begin well before the tunnels.
